So I wrote this book....

In January I lost my job, so in April, I did what most people do when that happens, I decided to write a book. April 4th I started writing a YA Urban Fantasy. I finished the first draft a month later, posted the first chapter on a writers forum with mixed reviews. So, I cleaned it up, added a prologue, revised the first draft, and signed up for the BookExpo America Writer's Conference. While there I participated in the pitch slam.

I pitched to three agents. Two requested that I send them partial manuscripts, and one very enthusiastic, lovely agent asked to see the full manuscript. That was last Wednesday, I sent the two partials Friday, the full one I sent this morning.

I'm a perfectionist, I had to go through it one more time. So, now the waiting starts. I was thinking that I would wait until Thursday, then I would send out a couple of queries to some other agents I am interested in.

Now, I'm the kind of person who likes to count their chickens before they hatch, so I was thinking it would be really amazing if, within a month and half I wrote a 93,000 word novel and got an agent with only having to basically query three agents. Fingers crossed
